Firewater Friday - Irish Cream

My husband is so spoiled it's unbelievable. Everyday I make my husband fresh ground coffee  to take with him to work.  Friday’s he gets special coffee . . . made with Irish Cream.  It’s especially special when I make it with homemade Irish Cream.

Mix the following ingredients in a 1-quart mason jar and shake.  It's as simple as that!

·        2 Cups Light Cream
·        1 2/3 Cups Irish Whiskey
·        1 Teaspoon Instant Coffee Granules
·        2 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
·        1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
·        1 Teaspoon Almond Extract
·        ¼ Cup Powdered Sugar

The Irish Cream can be stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two months. Shake well before serving.
If you've had an especially difficult Friday this concoction is for you:
Traditional Irish Car Bomb

3/4 pint Guinness stout
1/2 shot Irish cream
1/2 shot Jameson Irish whiskey

Add the Irish Cream and Jameson to a shot glass, layering the the Irish Cream on the bottom. Pour the Guinness into a pint glass or beer mug 3/4 of the way full and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. If you don't drink it fast enough it will curdle and increasingly taste worse.
